Red Sky Restaurant & Lounge in Boston

I can't say enough about how amazing the food is here. We stumbled in, coming back from the beach, 20 minutes before closing and they were welcoming and gave great service. Don't get me wrong, it's expensive, but we'll worth it. It's all local and fresh and just downright delicious.

Tried the shrimp and grits and it was very good. Crab cakes were also good

Food was delicious. Restaurant was small but clean and relaxing. Service was great. Prices are high but not terrible. Only complaint was they have old style glass bottles of Coke and Diet Coke. The Diet Coke I think was 8oz and the regular coke was 12oz. Not sure why they went this route but I would prefer a fountain drink with free refills that I didn’t have to wait awhile for since it was only 8oz.

We love this restaurant! We went last year and came back again on this year's beach trip! Try the vegan veggies in coconut curry, with added salmon. Yum!!!

Lovely! Just a tad pricey, but not terrible. Good portions, properly prepared, nice presentation. (We really liked the scallops!) No odors, even right next to the kitchen. Not over air conditioned like many beach eateries. Good service. And, they have a bar for those desirous of a cocktail. Not noisy if you go to the early side. There will be entertainment later near the bar. If you want conversation, get seated further away.

Our server, Chelsea, was amazing, she was friendly and attentive. The food was wonderful! Everything came out fast, was cooked to perfection, and tasted amazing. Well worth the price. An all around perfect place to eat.

Great service, terrific food, laid back beach attitude. Definitely recommend. Not sure how busy it is for dinner - you may want to call ahead to check - but a great lunch spot.

This is by far the best food, especially sea food on the outer banks. The Duck dish was excellent and the catch of the day was the best Mahi I have ever eaten. Prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality, atmosphere is great, and the service is outstanding. This is probably the best all around restaurant experience I have ever had, and it is consistent every year we come here.

They took reservations, which is why we went there, but then they give away your table and make you wait in the breezeway outside for 20 minutes while they rushed another table to leave. Group of 15. Food was pricy but good, but well done steaks come out pink in the middle . Service was the refdeeming quality.

Great place to eat a meal while hanging out in Duck. The Pesto Shrimp Pasta was excellent.

We had Red Sky Cafe cater an event for us and everyone is still raving about how wonderful everything was! I cannot say enough good things about Chef Wes and his entire staff - Dena, Jackie, Allie, etc. We had a menu built largely around Chef Wes' Tastefully Fit program. It was fresh, healthy and absolutely delicious! Everyone was professional, polite and terrific to work with. Go see them in the restaurant or have them cater for you.....just get some of this Outer Banks gem!

When your South you must have Shrimp and grits. I'll start by saying the sauce was flavorful and there was a fair amt of shrimp.BUT there was very little grits and the sauce was so liquidy, it made a mess trying to get the tails off the shrimp. AND it needs to he served with a spoon.

Food was INCREDIBLE, and the service could not be beat. We came from Colorado to visit my son's who live here near Raleigh and reserved about a month ago. I will make the trip back here! Thank you for agreat Thanksgiving!

The crab bisque was awesome! So was the steak sandwich. Will definitely eat there again.

Lovely to have options in a cafe! Being vegetarian it’s normal for me to just have the choice of one dish - here I had loads of choice!! Had a breakfast roll with veggie sausages, had brown and tomato. Lovely taste, consistency and very filling. Will definitely be back! Great veggie choice plus for my meat eating partner - good quality meat!

Friendly cafe with good quick service.

We shouldn’t have waited until the last day to try Red Sky Cafe on our vacation. It is by far our favorite restaurant in town. Stopped by for a delicious lunch and enjoyed it so much we went back for dinner. Such a kind staff, great atmosphere, and amazing food. Chef Wes really made us feel at home. See you next year!!

Food was decent. The price was ok, on par with vacation or touristy areas. I would possibly go back again. What was most bothersome is during covid-19 seeing one of the cooks (no gloves) fist bump and/or interlock hands....then turning right back to cooking. Most employees were wearing the masks at least when they served or went to tables. I would consider coming back. I can't say the food was bad but it wasn't steller or didn't leave a lasting impression other than so so. Thought all places and people have their "off days" maybe this was one.

One of my favorite hidden gems for restaurants in the Outer Banks. The food is always good and the service is efficient and friendly. I highly recommend their magaritas.

food was good, average overall not amazing. 3 stars because the vegan dish was lacking a protein option so it was like the base of a full dish.

Excellent cuisine and choice on menu. Chef will personally handle request for dietary needs. Service was good. Atmosphere was bar room style, need more room, but it's worth the tight seating for the food..won't be disappointed. Good value.

Red Sky food and service was excellent. So happy we decided to dine there. Not only was the food delicious, it was prepared and served in record time. Tbe waiter was very friendly, courteous and professional. Well done all the way around!!

There are better options nearby. For food and view. In the off-season, with no water view and a rather plain interior, you would think that the service would be welcoming and prompt. Neither.

Red Sky Cafe is my top choice of places to dine on the Outer Banks. Food is delicious, service excellent, and atmosphere cozy. The menu is small but they offer something for everyone. I always opt for the seafood as it’s fresh and I’m at the beach where seafood seems the thing to eat. I’ve had the pleasure of dining here several times a year for many years. I’ve never been disappointed. I highly recommend visiting Red Sky Cafe.

I can't recall having to pay for Ice and olives in addition to the price of a top shelf martini, and for Ice in a top shelf bourbon. The food was good, the service average. Feeling ripped off.

Corey came out to our bachelor party rental house and served some of the most delicious food we've had in quite some time. I knew going in, based on reviews, that the food would be high quality. What none of us expected was the quantity. 10 guys with appetites whetted by a day of drinking by the pool were fully stuffed, with food leftover. We got "The Favorite" from the menu which is essentially endless great food. Highly recommend for someone looking to bring in a chef at a reasonable price. It capped off a great weekend, and pretty much put us away for the night, assuring we'd have plenty of sleep for the long ride home in the morning. Thanks again, Red Sky. Truly awesome.

The new look is adorable and the new menu outstanding. I particularly love the chicken wrap !!! I need to try more things ! Outdoor beer garden is the perfect spot to chill and people watch!

One of the best experiences! Amidst this virus we all need a safe haven for escape. Red Sky delivered! I was down at our second home and we happened upon Red Sky cafe. We had a hankering for burgers and they absolutely served up the best! We can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. It will be a new staple in our household! Also the staff was safe, clean, friendly and absolutely took the utmost care in how people were spaced while still being comfortable. I would award 100 stars if I could. Thank you!Edit! Amazing food with amazing service, crab cakes are out of this world!

Great tasting Burger!!Couldn't figure out the secret ingredient in the house made potato salad, but don't miss this feature. Prices are reasonable, service was good and the location was perfect for walking the boardwalk and shopping!

Good beach place with friendly staff, reasonable prices. Parking can be tricky even when it's not super full, but it's that way all over duck. Make sure to hit it for lunch and shrimp and grits on your next trip to the outer Banks!

Red Sky catered our wedding at The Black Stallion. They were incredible! The food was amazing, they were generous and kind and so easy to work with!! I highly recommend them to anyone getting married in OBX! Could not have asked for a better night!
